Microsoft's website should have a Windows 8 recovery iso generator (Not sure if it still works) which can be used to repair windows 8.1 installs. I found an identical question on stack overflow which also suggests repairing your windows install. from that menu? If you can at least get a task manager or a 'run program' screen up, you should be able to start winlogon. You got sticky keys up, is there any way to get into control panel etc.
To me it looks like Windows isn't starting the winlogon program (an executable which manages the login screen). Also, when I press Windows + P the options come up and seem to work but still stays black other than that no matter what setting or monitor I connect to HDD: 320 GB WD (Not blue, red, black, green etc, not sure exactly of the model), 1TB External Seagate HDD for backupĪlready tried integrated graphics (took out GPU and just plugged in to motherboard) but still nothing. Sorry for the long description but any help/ ideas would be greatly appreciated as I use this computer for work and don't have extra money to pay for service. Not sure what went wrong exactly but was thinking I may have accidentally deleted the graphics card driver (I had downloaded them and could have left them in downloads)? Not sure what would cause this. I can get the sticky keys window to show up but nothing else, not even a cursor. After restsrting, the bios screen came up (and bios is totally fine) along with the Windows start screen, but then the screen stays black, never giving an option to log in. While messing with my cloning software and trying to get it to work (no actual cloning had begun yet) there was an error that needed to restart my computer. After deleting items (from downloads, pictures, videos, documents, music, the standard) and backing them up. So the other day, I was clearing out my hard drive to attempt at cloning it on to my new SSD.
